Victor Horta was one of the most influential architects in the Art Nouveau movement in Europe, with the Hotel Tassel being one of the first projects to combine decorative arts and architecture in the Art Nouveau style. The Art Nouveau designs of Belgium architect, Victor Horta (1861 - 1947), as applied to the Hotel Tassel, Brussels are discussed and illustrated in this book. The text contains both the original French and English translations of the theatricality of Art Nouveau by Francois Loyer, and the Restoration of the Hotel Tassel, by the architect, Jean Delhaye. The book contains b&w line drawings, and b&w and colour photographs illustrating Horta's designs for the hotel, internally & externally. Soft covers, p.150.
